Khalil Azzouzi

BACKGROUND:

Khalil Azzouzi holds an MBA in International Management from École des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, a Global Management Program Certificate from INSEAD, and advanced degrees in management from ISCAE. With over 30 years of experience across the industrial, financial, and private equity sectors, he began his career in 1988 as Operations Director at an agro-industrial company before transitioning into banking. Over 15 years at Crédit Lyonnais and BNP Paribas, he specialized in corporate banking, structured finance, and SME management. He then joined the Pan-African group SAHAM, where he spent eight years as a General Manager, launching and managing Sherpa Finance and the DAYAM Venture Capital Fund to support and invest in innovative entrepreneurs. He also established Media Network Fund, an investment vehicle for media ventures, and led SAHAM AGRI, overseeing one of the world’s largest Mejhoul date palm projects. Additionally, as CEO of the SAHAM Foundation, he spearheaded social entrepreneurship initiatives focused on poverty alleviation and healthcare access across Africa.

Since 2015, Khalil has been running his own strategy consulting firm, advising businesses on investment decisions, capital restructuring, and M&A transactions. He is also a Partner at Azur Innovation Management and Fractal Markets and played a key role in launching Endeavor Morocco, later serving on its executive committee. Actively engaged in the startup ecosystem, he has been a jury member for various innovation competitions, including Mass Challenge USA, Startup Maroc, and Endeavor. His associative involvement includes leadership roles within CGEM, the ENPC MBA alumni association, and the INSEAD Alumni network, in addition to teaching finance at ENPC’s MBA program.
